Karl P. Werleman

Karl is an actor/voice born in Montréal, Québec, currently living in Toronto, Ontario.  He is fully bilingual and works en français and in English in film, TV, theatre and musical theatre.

Karl’s first film role came in Mike Ades and Scott Abramovitch’s No Surrender, starring Mena Suvari (Incendo).  He has recently appeared as a psychotic clown in Finland’s symphonic metal band Nightwish‘s first feature film, Imaginaerum (Caramel FIlms).

Theatrical credits include Dry Humping (MMM, Montreal Fringe Festival), Peter Shaffer’s Equus at the historic Théâtre Rialto (directed by Paul Van Dyck), Chat et souris au Centre culturel Calixa Lavallée (MES Pierre A. Valiquette) et dans Cabaret Guitry (MES Laurie Gagné).  The musical theatre bug has also hit Karl, having appeared as Mahigan in Alain Mercieca’s The Only Bar (Montreal Fringe Festival), and as Goldberg in John Michael Lachiusa’s The Wild Party! (In Your Face Entertainment).

Recent television credits include MUSE’s Being Human, popular French TV series Vrak la vie! and PIXCOM’s Le Monde en Gros (réalisation Vincent Wilson).  Karl has many short film projects to his credit, such as You’re Driving Me Crazy (Tungsten Original Inc., François Tremblay, 2012); Spill (Cousin Chang Productions Hugh John Murray, 2011); Doggoned (Arshad Films, Arshad Khan, 2012); Le Bon deal (PKFilms, Philippe Frenette-Roy, 2012); and SOS Marionnettes (Anastasia Bourlakova, 2013).
